Likud MK Ariel Kallner on Tuesday filed a complaint to the police against former Meretz MK Yair Golan for calling for a large-scale public uprising against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s government, including its planned judicial reforms. Golan also couldn’t resist including inciteful words against Chareidim, claiming that the government is allowing them to “do whatever they want with our tax money.”
“Friends, there’s only one way to oppose this malicious and evil government – a large-scale civil uprising,” Golan, who also served as the deputy IDF chief of staff in the past, stated. “The destruction of the justice system, unlimited political appointments, license for the Chareidim to do whatever they want with our tax money…why should we agree, why should we accept this on our heads, on our pockets, on our lives? We will never agree.”
“Starting tomorrow morning, we’re changing tactics,” Golan continued. “No more polite demonstrations on Motzei Shabbat, no more hollow talks on evening posts on social media. Only actions. Only results. Businesses will be shut down, services will be halted, roads will be blocked, and he who purports to rule via corrupt, hedonistic, extremist and dark people will discover that the people are sovereign.”
“We’re the sovereign and we’ll determine the fate of our country. The power belongs to the people but it won’t happen without a determined and brave struggle.”
Golan has a long history of uttering inciteful and outrageous statements and even compared Israel to Nazi Germany at a Yom HaShoah event in 2016.

The problem I have with the left is they come across with a holier than thou attitude when explaining their position to any given topic. Here are some examples, since we decided plastic ruins the environment no one should use them. Since we decided animals have pain when being slaughtered so go vegan. Since we decided everyone can decide if they are male or female then you must accept that as fact. Since we decided its discrimination to have separate seating at concerts so Toldas Aron Chasidim in a corner of Mea Shearim can’t have a men’s only simchas beis hashoiva. The list can go on and on. As an aside because of this attitude the right feels they have no choice but to change the way the supreme court runs.
