SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Rocks were thrown at an Israeli vehicle traveling in the Ramallah area. No injuries were reported. At least one vehicle was damaged.

*Rocks were hurled at vehicles traveling on the Yitzchak Rabin Highway (Kvish 6) near Nitzanei Oz. no injuries were reported. At least one vehicle was damaged.

*Border police operating in the Jenin district found a 12kg bomb in a car being transported by 3 PA residents. The bomb was neutralized without incident. The three were taken into custody, thereby averting a terror attack.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Yisrael Beitenu MK Avigdor Lieberman calls on the nation’s heads of security to resign due to declining security situation nationwide.

*MK (Labor) Avishai Braverman was appointed as the chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee. Shas MK Margi announced that as a result, his party will vote against the government in the future towards bringing down the coalition.

*The lt.-colonel involved in the shooting of the bound Arab in Na’alin passed a polygraph exam on Tuesday, supporting his statements that he never gave the soldier the order to fire the rubber bullet at the prisoner.

*The IDF’s Southern Brigade Commander was injured in a vehicular accident near Magen Jct. The public is requested to daven for Shloime ben Dalia.

*An Israeli who mistakenly entered PA-controlled Ramallah was taken by PA police and handed over to Israeli authorities. He may face charges for entering a PA autonomous area in violation of an IDF ban.

*Border policeman Shriki HY”D who died on Wednesday from gunshot wounded sustained in the Friday night attack at Lion’s Gate in Yerushalayim was laid to rest at 6;00PM in Rishon L’Tzion.

*Senator Barak Obama during Sderot visit stated Israel should not speak with Hamas.

*Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz met with Knesset Speaker Dalia Itzik seeking her support in his bid for the Kadima leadership race.

*Mt. Herzl Cemetery memorial on Wednesday evening marking the 104th anniversary of Theodor Herzl’s death.
