The Gadol HaDor, HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein was accompanied to the polls early Tuesday morning with singing and dancing.

On Monday evening, prior to the election, HaRav Edelstein spoke: “Tomorrow, a’yh, there is a mitzvah aseih of Kiddush Hashem. It’s a mitzvah d’oraisa of ונקדשתי בתוך בני ישראל, to vote for Gimmel in the elections.”

“וזריזים מקדימים,” HaRav Edelstein continued. “To hurry to carry out the Kiddush Hashem!”

  1. satmar:- Get your act together both in 🇮🇱 today & 🇺🇸 NY Governor race next week, and comply with mainstream דעת-תורה
peleg:- Also get your act together
Likewise you agudah & zwiebel get your act together & endorse Lee Zeldin instead of wasting צדקה collections on endless futile litigation to save חינוך

  2. Peleg can’t vote – their daas Torah leadership told them not to just like Satmar doesn’t vote.
They separated their entire educational system from Chinuch Atzma’i and they don’t take government funds for their schools so as not to be influenced by the government attempts to secularize the chareidi education system as much as possible. To compensate, the Peleg schools get lots of funding from Satmar and other anti-Zionist sources. If they would vote, they’d lose their funding sources. I’m sure that they claim many other reasons, the first and foremost being that they are following their da’as Torah not to vote just as I follow mine to vote. I haven’t gotten into a debate with Peleg people but is seems very obvious to me that they can’t (and won’t) vote.

  3. Satnar IS voting fir Zeldin. Its not politically correct to endorse a challenger to the incumbent when it’s not a sure thing that Zeldin can dosh ot out. But the askanim are absolutely quietly endorsing Zeldin. People in Upstate, not Satmar arnt committed forr the Zeldin so stop with Satmar. Theyre doing the right thing.
Now voting in Israel is a complete different thing. You don’t vote in a Zionist state. Doesnt matter whichever Zionist is at the helm. They’re all anti Torah and it’s forbiddenYES forbidden by the Torah to vote in any of them.

  4. 147:
Unlike Zionists, who have daas Avoda Zara to guide them, liHavdil, mainstream Torah Jewry have Daas Torah behind them that permits Israeli citizens to vote in Zionist elections.

Satmar, too, has solid and unimpeachable Daas Torah behind them, as in the holy Satmar Rav, a gaon olam, who forbade voting in Zionist elections. Period.
