Rare Letter From HaMekubal HaRav Kook: “We Need To Check Anyone Who Doesn’t Vote For Chareidi Parties”

HaGaon HaMekubal Rav Dov Kook

In a rare move, HaGaon HaMekubal Rav Dov Kook of Tiveria wrote a letter about the importance of voting for the Chareidi parties.

The letter states: “Everything [these words] are unnecessary and obvious. It’s pashut that one must be moser nefesh for the success of the Chareidi bloc, mainly because it’s a terrible Chillul Hashem throughout the world if it doesn’t succeed. And anyone who doesn’t feel this way should be checked out.”

“Everyone who is mechazeik in this is a partner in a general Kiddush Hashem in the world. And everyone who is weak in this is a partner in a general Chillul Hashem in the world.”

“I’m writing with tears and with a broken and downtrodden heart – אלהים לא תבזה.”

  1. Um… בחוקותיהם לא תלכו…. I think it’s מבזה that this guy pretends he understands ה׳ and His support of democracy and partisan politics, but, you know, I guess maybe I need to be checked out…. This is absurd.

  2. Don’t vote in any election, seriously. A malaach told me you’re not supposed to go in their ways with the democracy or whatever, and anyone who questions me needs to be checked out.

  3. I can’t stop laughing at how ridiculous this is. I’m writing this with laughter, but I’m 100% serious that participation in any election is a chillul Hashem.

  4. The regime that recently coerced half of Yisroel to participate in a genetic experiment that ultimately will kill them, disassociate from it if you can. That idea just came to me with ruach hakodesh. If you question me, you need to be checked out.

  5. “Rare Letter From HaMekubal HaRav Kook: “We Need To Check Anyone Who Doesn’t Vote For Chareidi Parties””

does that include checking those yidden who are anti-zionist chareidim (like many people I know) to make sure they vote for “chareidi parties” in the zionist knesset?

  6. importance of voting for the Chareidi parties I so absolutely agree with each & every word of his letter. His letter is also incumbent upon every single satmar & peleg:- Zero exceptions!!

  7. The need to vote is so really important if not just to stop the רשעות of the left. They want to permit גירות שלא על פי הלכה. They want to legalize pork restaurants and חמץ restaurants on Pesach. They must be stopped. They’ve already succeeded in legalizing bus transportation on שבת קודש in Haifa. Enough votes from the Chareidim will stop them. Can’t all commentators above mine agree to my points? And let’s not discuss the בזיון הקדושה of some of the above commentators. This Tzaddik literally fasts משבת לשבת. He’s totally אויסגעטאהן פון דער וועלט. He’s ממש another באבא סאלי.

  8. He’s clearly talking about voting for charedi parties versus voting for frei or religious zionist ones.

A vote for less religious or freikeit is a vote against the Torah

  9. Where can I get checked out?
    What are we checking for?
Asking seriously because I honestly don’t want to vote for Charedi parties. I have in the past. I don’t want to anymore.

  10. Yaapchik, I understand that the charedi parties mean lshem shamayim to stop the left. What I don’t understand is: why is a Torah Jew supposed to get so involved in a secular government- to get involved with the secular politicians -, to make laws to force Jews that sadly, don’t keep the Torah anyway -to prevent buses on Shabbos and pork restaurants? I propose that the charedim should pull out of the government and focus on non government Kiruv organisations. I thought only a Beis Din can enforce Halacha- we need Moshiach to have such a Beis DIn.

  11. Schmendrick and all other disrespectful commentators please do תשובה ASAP, being מבזה a תלמיד חכם is very serious, there are many stories of people who died or experienced tremendous יסורין for being מבזה תלמידי חכמים besides for losing your olam haba.

  12. everyone remember to vote; we must have the RIGHT back in power.

–> and yes that includes you Satmar and Toldos Aharon.

it’s just like HaGaon HaMekubal Rav Dov Kook said, “We Need To Check Anyone Who Doesn’t Vote For Chareidi Parties”
