SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Two infiltrators from Gaza were apprehended by IDF soldiers near Kibbutz Alumim on Sunday afternoon. They were turned over to the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet).

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Students on Sunday morning protested outside the Prime Minister’s Office as the cabinet was discussing the possibility of raising tuition costs for higher education.

*The cabinet on Sunday morning approved the appointment of Prof. Gabriella Shalev as Israel’s new ambassador to the United Nations, replacing Dan Gillerman.

*An MDA crew delivered a child at the IDF’s Oranit Checkpoint between Elkana and Petach Tikvah. The 30-year-old mother and daughter were doing well. They were transported to Maynei HaYeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak.

*Likud files a no-confidence motion against the government over the prime minister’s “shameful” performance regarding Syria at the recent Mediterranean Conference in France.
