SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Thursday, day 30 of the virtual Gaza ceasefire.

*Today is Gilad Shalit’s 853rd day in Hamas captivity.

*IDF soldiers during the night arrested a wanted suspect in the Ramallah area.

*Rock-throwing attacks late Wednesday night south of Gush Etzion between Karmei Tzur and Beit Omar. No injuries were reported.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*PM Olmert, DM Barak, IDF Chief Ashkenazi and former IDF Chief Halutz were among those present in the IDF’s Schrage Base on Wednesday evening along with the bereaved families and of course, the coffins of the soldiers.

*PM Olmert has hired private detectives to dig up dirt on the state’s star witness, Moshe Talansky.

*Motor vehicle offices are opening today, Thursday, ending their strike.
