Eliezer Malish, the Mir avreich who was injured last week in a stabbing attack on a bus next to the Ramot Mall in Jerusalem, was released from Shaarei Tzedek Hospital on Monday.
Malish, from Manchester, was moderately wounded in the attack, suffering several fractures including a broken arm, as well as a number of stab wounds.
Dr. Alon Schwartz, director of the trauma unit at Shaare Tzedek said: “We are very happy with Eliezer’s speedy recovery. He suffered penetrating and life-threatening injuries that he is still recovering from. We will continue to monitor his condition even after his release.”
Eliezer said: “I want to thank the rescue teams who treated me at the site, the dedicated medical team who saved my life and provided me with sensitive and dedicated care, the chessed organizations like Mishpacha Achas and the social workers – they all provided me with the koach to recover so well and helped me not to feel alone. I don’t have enough words to thank you for the fact that I’m leaving here like this today.”
Prior to leaving the hospital, Malish had an emotional meeting with one of the heroes who saved his life, Arutz Sheva reported.
Chaim Na’im was driving on Golda Meir when he noticed the incident and stopped his car to see if he could help. He saw Malish covered in blood and the terrorist viciously stabbing him with a screwdriver.

Although Na’im has a gun license, he didn’t have a weapon on him. He told Arutz Sheva that he took a large rock that was nearby to throw at the terrorist. As he was aiming at the terrorist, hesitating out of fear of the rock hitting Malish, the terrorist noticed what he was doing and as the rock hit him, began to flee. That’s when the second hero showed up – Ynet photographer Meshi Ben-Ami, who had a gun on him and shot the terrorist.
Both men were honored last week for their heroic actions by Prime Minister Yair Lapid.

The terrorist began to flee when the rock thrown by Chaim Na’im hit him. If he was fleeing why is Ynet photographer Meshi Ben-Ami a hero for shooting a fleeing man? Simple answer: he is not a haredi or religious Jew or soldier. Any of those individuals would have been arrested and locked up immediately for shooting a defenseless fleeing individual.

Read the story from the Ynet reporter himself. The terrorist ran away from Eliezer and then ran at the man with the gun. He commanded him to stop, the terrorist did not, so he shot him 1-2 times, plain and simple. Honestly, the neutralization was done 100% kosher. He got his gun back immediately.
