Anat Kamm, who was convicted of passing classified military documents to the media, is being released early from prison. A parole board decided to wipe a third of her 4.5 year sentence for good behavior, as is customarily done.
The story dates back to 2010, when Kamm was a clerk in the office of the IDF Central District Commander, Major-General Yair Naveh. She was found guilty of taking 2,000 documents, classified information, and passing it to a Haaretz correspondent towards advancing her political agenda. She was imprisoned in November 2011. She will be released from prison in about ten days.
