The former head of ZAKA, Yehudah Meshi-Zahav, passed away overnight Tuesday in the Herzog Medical Center in Jerusalem, where he has been hospitalized since last year. He was 62.
Prior to being hospitalized, serious and multiple accusations of wrongdoing were made against him after it was announced that he was chosen as a recipient of the Israel Prize. He subsequently forfeited the Israel Prize and stepped down as the head of ZAKA.
The niftar left behind a wife and seven children.

Not clear that the YWN velt really needs to know or is even interested on the petirah of known abusers like MZ, Walder, Berland etc.

So everything from alleged suicide to the suicide note he allegedly wrote and all the other allegations against him have never been tested in court and have never been clarified as to what really happened and what they really mean. For example, here in Toronto in 2018 there were this couple Barry and Honey Sherman (who became extremely wealthy from generic pharmaceuticals) who were found dead in their house and the police did an alleged full investigation (including autopsy) and concluded it was a murder-suicide situation, case closed. The children were outraged and (having just inherited a really large fortune) hired private experts and investigators and proved it was a case of a double murder by some external perpetrators and the police re-opened the case. I doubt the family of Meshi-Zahav have anywhere the resources to do the same.

Terrible tragedy of such a young unbelievable בעל-חסד involved in saving so many lives, who was maligned by Feminists who were out to get this innocent hero, because they were jealous of his amazing accomplishments.
