The Biden administration has been working on a “road map for normalization” between Israel and Saudi Arabia ahead of President Biden’s visit to the region next month, Axios reported on Wednesday.
The report quotes four US sources, who emphasized that there won’t be an agreement prior to Biden’s strip but the president will discuss the plan with the leaders of the two countries during the trip.
According to the report, the Biden administration is eager to gain credit for continuing to foster the warming of ties between Israel and Arab states that began with the Abraham Accords during the Trump administration.

Unless Israel can settle with the Palestinians, any agreement with the Arab states is meaningless. It won’t be permanent. It will just be a temporary alliance against a common enemy. A regime change in Iran to a less aggressive one, and any Arab-Israeli agreements become worthless. Similarly, an alliance with a dictatorship (which includes most Arab countries) is worthless if they ever become democracies (and there is a strong indication that most Arabs favor democracy, and look at that aspect of Israeli life with great envy).
If Biden and State Department is involved in making peace between dysfunctional israeli government and Saudi Arabia then we know that Jewish State will pay hefty price for a long time to come.
