Syria Warns Against Attacking Iran

Speaking to the French media, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who is attending the Mediterranean Conference in Paris, announced an attack against Iran would have grave consequences for the entire world.

The Syrian leader, who continues to support Hizbullah and Iran, stated an attack against Iran’s nuclear program would incur grave consequences for Israel, the United States and the world.

Assad explained that the problem is not the action or the reaction, but added when one starts such an action in the Mideast; one cannot manage the reactions, “which may occur over years of even decades”.

Assad stated that Iran is only seeking to develop nuclear energy to generate electricity and not as a threat as is being alleged by America and Israel.
