Supreme Court Rejects Petition Challenging Ariel University’s Status

arThe Supreme Court on Tuesday, 21 Teves 5774 rejected a petition challenging the legitimacy of Ariel University’s status. The petition was filed by a number of universities that have still not made peace with the fact the college has been upgraded to full university status.

Justice Asher Grunis explained the Institute of Higher Education is the state body responsible for such a decision and it has rendered its ruling in the matter. In addition, the defense minister has also signed off on the decision, which is required because the university is in Shomron, under his jurisdiction.

Therefore the court decided to reject the petition.
