Thousands of people who made their way into Bnei Brak early Sunday to attend the levaya of Sar Hatorah Maran HaRav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l were met by an incredible outpouring of love by Vizhnitzer and Nadvorner chasidim.
On orders from the rebbe, Viznhitzer chasidim accommodated thousands of people and provided food and drink to the travelers, rejuvenating them ahead of and after they attended the levaya. The Vizhnitzer bais medrash was also made available to all, with many sitting and immersing themselves in Torah ahead of the 12 pm levaya.
At the same time, the Nadvorner chasidim cooked hot food – enough to feed thousands of people, and invited all who wished to come and take whatever they needed.
Meanwhile, the local residents of Bnei Brak stepped up and had set up tables on every street with free food and drink for the hundreds of thousands who travelled for the Levaya.
In times of crisis or need, yidden stand up and look out for each other. Today, one of the saddest moments for world Jewry, was no different.

The Chasidim do this all the time.
This is beautiful, but helping other people is not MI K’AMCHA YISROEL – look at thousands of Europeans taking in Ukrainian strangers to their homes right now.
The Chassidim also do a great job when it comes to Bikur Cholim.
This Chessed that these Chassidim did is mind boggling.
I heard that other people also did a similar Chessed, the people who live along the route of the Levaya.
So many beautiful people in Klal Yisroel. Free food free drinks in many areas in Bnei Brak starting Motzei Shabbos till Sunday night.
