UTJ MK Meir Porush on Sunday morning carried out a one-man protest against Reform Rabbi MK Gilad Kariv (Labor) for violating the kedusha of the Kosel on Friday.
Porush, who carried out the same type of protest in October, entered the room where a meeting of the Knesset’s Consitution and Law Committee was taking place, which is headed by Kariv, and began reciting Tehillim in a loud voice.
As Porush continued, Kariv adjourned the meeting for 15 minutes. Porush said: “You bothered us, we’ll bother you.”
After he finished reciting Tehillim, Porush blew the shofar and left the room.

The ICC has interpreted that it has jurisdiction over Jerusalem and the territories. Article 5 of the Rome Statute grants the ICC jurisdiction for “crimes against humanity”, which Article 7 defines as any of the following acts when committed as part of a widespread or systematic attack directed against any civilian population, with knowledge of the attack: (f) Torture; “Torture” means the intentional infliction of severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, upon a person in the custody or under the control of the accused.
Knesset members are officials of the state that currently maintains an occupation of Jerusalem. Some Knesset women systematically intentionally inflict severe mental pain and suffering directly against the civilian population that is trying to follow halachah at the shul that is the Kosel. I think it makes sense to report these occupant reformers to the ICC.
With all due respect to Rabbi Porush… and with a hell load of respect for his sentiments, blowing shofar in the knesset just makes you look like a retard… seriously, can chareidi jewry not find more savvy politicians…?
