Despite stepped-up efforts by Israel Police, 49 people were killed on the nation’s roads in the month of June. Tens of others sustained serious injuries, with some sustaining permanent disabilities. Hundreds were injured moderately and light.

Since January 1, 2008, 224 motorists and pedestrians were killed on the nation’s roads.
