The American Congress in a 92-6 vote approved an additional $170 million in security aid to Israel, bringing the total package to $2.55 billion in 2009.

AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee) released a statement that the additional aid is essential to America and Israel as both are threatened by current realities in Iran, as Tehran continues moving forward towards building a nuclear bomb.
