A searing tragedy occurred in Jerusalem on Thursday when a yeshivah bochur from Toronto learning in Yeshivas Tiferes Tzvi (Brisker Kollel) was R”L found lifeless in his bed in his yeshivah dorm.
Habochur Chaim Aharon Aryeh Lauer, z’l, 23, had apparently never woken up from his sleep overnight Wednesday and was discovered by his friends in his bed on Thursday afternoon. His friends immediately called emergency rescue services but unfortunately, there was nothing they could do.
His parents were informed of his Petira and they immediately left to Eretz Yisrael for the levaya.
The niftar was transferred for a CT scan to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem. Through the extensive efforts of the Ba’al Chessed HaRav Dovid Tzarfati and UTJ MK Uri Maklev, an autopsy was prevented and his body was released for kevurah.

Terrible ma’aseh. He should have a good gan eden. However, in these times, with the ‘covid shot’ being the important global issue that it has become, unless there are particular privacy concerns, mention should be made concerning whether or not the niftar received any of these injections (whether recently or even in the past – as adverse effects can not always occur immediately). Presumably, he did receive the ‘covid injection’, as it is typical for the media to relate to all in these times about those who did not. Nonetheless, why not show an interest in this either way, since the ‘vaccinated’ seem to like to mention when there are issues with the non-vaccinated.

Agree 100% with user *lastword*. It’s a terrible and unusual tragedy that a 23 yo bochur should simply not wake up. I too would like to know whether or not he was fully vaccinated.

Most Bochurim and Seminary girls had to get vaccinated in order to enter the country so 90% chance he was vaccinated. יצא שכרו בהפסדו if this was the case. תנצב״ה

It is my nephew and for those asking it had nothing to do with vaccinations or Covid. He was the sweetest boy with a beautiful smile and loved learning. May his Neshama have an Aliya.

When SO writes that it had nothing to do with vaccinations , does it mean he never got the vaccine ? It doesn’t seem like it , otherwise you would write he didn’t get the vaccine , and not “that it had nothing to do with vaccinations”. My suspicion is that he did get the vaccine , since it’s a major trend for people not to wake up … and they happened to have gotten the vaccine . So the goal is to wake up people that these tragedies are unfortunately self made . Stop taking this shot that is killing people if you want to live . It’s a sad story , but these people will keep on promoting it cause of “ daas Torah” . Suddenly drs became the rabbi and the rabbis became the doctors putting out promotional videos to take the shot . What an upside down world !
