• Rock-throwing attacks near Kfar Azzoun along the Gush Etzion-Chevron Road on motzei Shabbos. No injuries reported.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:
• Noam and Aviva Shalit, the parents of Gilad Shalit, petitioned the Supreme Court on Shabbos, asking the court to prevent Israel from opening Gaza crossings until their son is released by Hamas. The petition will be heard on Sunday morning at 10:00AM.
• The Israel Bar Association will on Sunday hold a memorial service for attorney Yoram Chacham, who was killed in what appears to be an underworld-related car bomb attack in Tel Aviv some 10 days ago.
• A resident of the Israel in his 20s, Omri Kidron, disappeared while hiking in China, apparently seen falling from a cliff into a river. A rescue team was dispatched. No additional information at this time.
• Some 600 dunam (150 acres) of forestry area was destroyed in a fire on erev Shabbos in the Gilboa region.
• Labor party’s Arab members are split with their Jewish counterparts, opposed to voting in favor of dissolving Olmert coalition.
• Reuters: Iran in response to an IDF training exercise simulating the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, Iranian spokesman Gholamhossein Elham stated Israel is a “…dangerous regime and an impediment to peace and clam in the region and world.”
• Arab MK Mohammad Barakeh speaking at a Shfaram rally stated, “It appears the [Israeli] is not satisfied that Natan Zada did not kill more Arabs during the massacre” in reference to the IDF soldier who killed 4 and wounded 9 in a 2005 bus attack against Israeli Arabs.
• A 27-year-old chareidi resident of the Kiryat Vishnitz area of Bnei Brak was killed in an accident heading from the north to his home. It appears he lost control of his motorcycle at Megiddo Junction.
