The Petach Tikvah District Court has turned down a motion for early release filed by an Arab prisoner who was appealing the parole board’s denial of his request.
The prisoner, Nahad Gandiya, is serving a 25-year prison sentence for the murder of contractor Zalman Shlein in 1989.
The court based its ruling on expert testimony from ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) agents and other sources that Gandiya is affiliated with terror organizations.
