Police have authorized a highway protest on Tel Aviv’s Ayalon Highway on Thursday between the hours of 3:00PM-6:00PM. Taking part in the protest will be trucks, buses and taxis, all demanding that the government reduce taxes on diesel fuel to permit them to continue earning a livelihood.
Police are permitting 200 trucks, 150 taxis and 50 buses to drive on the Ayalon Highway between the Halacha and Sharon exits at a slow pace, a move that is expected to wreak havoc on Gush Dan traffic during the evening rush hour.
