Winter driving regulations went into effect in Israel on Friday, November 1, 2013. This requires all vehicles to drive with headlights on all the time while driving on highways. Buses, taxes, two-wheel motorized vehicles and emergency vehicles must drive with headlights on all the time, in the city as well as on highways.
Motorized two-wheeled vehicles must have headlights on year-round, not just during the winter months.
Failure to comply with winter driving regulations results in points on one’s license and a fine.
