Knesset Foreign Affairs & Defense Committee Chairman MK (Kadima) Tzachi Hanegbi came to the defense of IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, whose presence at Tuesday’s committee session was challenged by MKs Dr. Yossi Beilin (Meretz) and Limor Livnat (Likud).

Hanegbi stated that the attack against Ashkenazi was “unfounded”, expressing his “disgust” with the MKs’ objections and attitude towards the military commander.
