Palestinians attacked Jews living in area of Shimon Hatzadik Kever in Jerusalem on Thursday night. A Jewish-owned vehicle was torched, and rocks and bottles thrown at the Jewish residents.
Jewish residents claim Police refused to respond to their calls for help tonight, and have reportedly taken matters into their own hands.
It appears that residents opened fire at Palestinians who attacked them, finally prompting police to respond.
No one appears to have been struck by the gunfire.
The cause for the violence is due to Jews recently purchasing homes from Palestinians in the area.

Nothing gets the Israeli Police to come running like reports of Jews shooting at Arabs. Like doughnuts for NY cops.
The entire neighbourhood legally belongs to Jews who built it before the War of Independence of 1948. The Arab squatters were allowed to stay the area was liberated in 1967, but cannot pass the resident status to their children. The Supreme Court of Israel approved the eviction of squatters, but it took over 40 years. We are not speaking about purchasing houses but reclaiming Jewish property. Some squatters were offered money to leave but refused. Now it’s time to help them get out of there – even the leftist Israeli courts say so.
