As the infection rate of the Coronavirus continues to drop in Israel, the Israeli Health Ministry has further eased the regulations that have governed the country for nearly a year.
Perhaps most significantly is the removal of the requirement of parents to fill out health declarations before sending their children to school. These health declarations, which were imposed with the removal of the first lockdown in Israel last spring, have been a mainstay of the entire last educational year. The declarations stated that the student did not have a fever, was not coughing, and had not come into contact with any known Coronavirus carrier over the previous 24 hours.
The limit of the number of people allowed to gather in an enclosed outdoor area was raised from 50 to 100. Additionally, for the ceremonies of Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut that are being run under the Green Tab regulations, members of bereaved families who do not possess a green passport will be allowed to enter and participate. They will however need to sit in capsules per family.
Police will no longer be allowed to fine people who are protesting and standing too close to one another. In addition, the number of people allowed in a Green Tab establishment will be raised as well.
Sporting events will now be allowed to have more attendees, and athletes, even those who are minors and cannot be vaccinated yet will be allowed to participate in training during separate hours.
