Rabbi Avi Gisser, the rav of the Shomron community of Ofrah explains that he is somewhat dumbfounded by the fact the Supreme Court has agreed to hear a petition against houses being built in his community.
Rabbi Gisser stated that this is a matter of a disagreement between neighbors and such matters usually result in one party turning to police, filing a complaint, and police investigating.
Calling the move “ridiculous,” Gisser states “I could not turn to the Supreme Court with such a claim” referring to a building dispute, accusing the high court of mixing “political interests” into the picture.
Earlier in the week the annual Democracy Report was released (HERE) indicating the nation’s trust in the Supreme Court has fallen significantly he pointed out, adding, the court continues in the downward direction.
