Hamas is now signaling the terror organization will permit a letter from the captive soldier’s family to make its way to him.
In the letter delivered to the Shalits on Monday, their son Gilad wrote that he is longing to return home and hopes the government will not abandon him. He describes his health as poor, stating he feels difficulty breathing and yeans to return home as soon as possible.
One 25 June, Gilad Shalit will mark two years in Hamas custody.
