Two days have passed since the Government promised to submit their proposal for re-opening schools throughout Israel and the Cabinet still has not made any moves to reopen the Talmud Torahs in the Chareidi sector, nor many other schools in Orange and Red cities in the Country.
According to the proposal, which was prepared by the Head of the Constitutional Committee in the Knesset, MK Yaakov Asher, schools would reopen for those who are recovering from Covid-19 and for those who are vaccinated against the disease. This would allow thousands of Chareidi talmidim to go back to schools and Yeshivos.
Following the continued stagnation of the government, Hagaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky issued a directive to schoolmasters on Thursday evening that instructed them to open all of the schools on Sunday in a normal fashion, should the government not ratify the proposal before Shabbos. Hagaon HaRav Kanievsky instructed the schoolmasters to make certain that all staff and students adhere to the regulations of wearing masks and keeping their distance from one another.
Mk Asher spoke with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and the head of the Corona task force Professor Nachman Ash and discussed how to speed up the process of the government’s acceptance and implementation of the proposal.
The government has not yet responded to the Gadol Hador’s ultimatum.

No response is necessary. The Israeli Government runs the country and is responsible both for enforcing the law and the safety of all of its citizens. Einikel Yanky is a nobody. If schools open illegally the time has come to jail the principals and also fine parents who send their children to the illegally operating schools.
I wish that Hagaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky would instruct Government that Ben Gurion & Borders need to reopen at once, for we people who have children & parents in Israel, thereby effectively instructing the Government to invoke observance of the 5th Commandment.
‘derech hatevah, having such a batting average would be disqualifying
“…schools would reopen for those who are recovering from Covid-19 and for those who are vaccinated against the disease.” For those who dare to hold by other poskim [that to not take the vaccine is na’arish], they can continue to support their learning somehow in other ways and hopefully not compromise their beliefs and understanding.
It is only a matter of time until those who hold against the experimental vaccine will be vindicated–whether it is because the records of adverse effects finally become openly affirmed, or because the hoax of ‘herd-immunity’ eventually reaches the ‘magic-numbers’ for the time-being (might it only forever finally return to the history of ‘unproved status’ where it came from).
Or perhaps it will be because the levels of amplification done on PCR tests is lowered and a lack of ‘amplified’ positive cases help to lower the ‘case numbers’.
Or perhaps it will be because the economy will decide it also needs to profit again from non ‘vaccine-passport’ or other non ‘vaccine-attested’ citizens.
