Amnon Rosenberg HY”D, 51, became the latest victim of ongoing rocket attacks into southern Israel. He was killed in an attack that occurred at about 11:50am Thursday morning, when a 120mm Katyusha rocket slammed into the factory in which he was employed in Kibbutz Nir Am. Hamas’ so-called Izzadin el-Kassam military wing boasted responsibility for the fatal attack which also left four injured, two in moderate-to-serious condition. In addition, other employees required treatment for hysteria.
Earlier in the week, on Tuesday, five people including two Thai workers were wounded by rocket fire and the list of dead and wounded continues to grow as government officials’ standby, apparently paralyzed by political realities which seemingly render them incapable of reaching decisions that must be made.
Rosenberg is survived by his wife Tali, and their three children, Dror, Eldar and Yarden. The family resides in Kibbutz Nirim, where Amnon was a member since 1982.
The levaya took place on Friday morning at 11 in Kibbutz Nirim.
