The state’s star witness against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Moshe Talansky, arrived in Tel Aviv early Thursday morning, arriving only a few days after he left last week. Mr. Talansky explained the purpose of the visit is to attend the wedding of a family member.
His attorneys released a statement that Talansky is prepared in the event police wish to question him again.
In a related matter, Israel Police on Wednesday were awaiting a US Justice Department green light to send a senior investigation team to question Prime Minister Olmert’s son Shaul, who according to Talansky, the two did meet after the prime minister instructed him to see Shaul regarding collection of a loan debt.
Shaul told the Israeli media that he is more than willing to cooperate and will answer any and all questions that police may have.
