United Torah Judaism MK Yaakov Asher informed the Knesset officer on Sunday morning that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Asher, who is the chairman of the Knesset’s Constitution, Law and Justice Committee, said that he feels well and will continue his regular work routine from home.
The condition of Likud MK David Bitan, who contracted the coronavirus several weeks ago and was hospitalized in serious condition last week, continues to be serious but stable, a statement from his family on Motzei Shabbos said.
Bitan is still hooked up to an ECMO machine but is conscious and able to communicate with those around him.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein visited Bitan in Sheba Medical Center on Motzei Shabbos after being vaccinated against the coronavirus.
