“On Simchas Torah we saw the entire tzibur dancing with the Torah and the tzibur was joyous with the Torah. They sang all the pesukim with the proper niggunim, ברוך אלקינו שבראנו לכבודו… and this is our nature, to be joyous with the Torah and with this we come to loving HKBH,” HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein Shlita told talmidim this week as he instructed them to limit the discussions on the upcoming municipal elections.

The rosh yeshiva called the election talk “devarim beteilim”, which he explained is the work of the yetzer hora.

The rav added that one must engage in more Torah study and this will distance him from the desire to engage in frivolous discussions.
