Baruch Dayan Emmes: 49-year-old avreich Rav Shlomo Tzitiat (ציטיאט ), a father of five, did not awaken on Shabbos morning. After his rebitzen and their children tried to awaken him they phoned for EMS. Ichud Hatzalah EMT Yoni Martin reports arriving shortly after 7:00am only to find the avreich in bed. He realized the victim most likely died in his sleep during the night.

Hatzalah Gush Dan and MDA also arrived on the scene. A MDA physician pronounced him dead when it became apparent there was nothing else to be done. The physician determined the niftar was dead for a number of hours.

The levaya took place on motzei Shabbos, beginning from the niftar’s home on Eli HaKohen Street and kvura was in the Yarkon Beis Hachaim.
