Forensic Experts Making Progress in Identifying Body Parts


Experts at Abu Kabir Forensic Institute report that among the remains turned over to Israel by Hizbullah this week, they have identified body parts belonging to five soldiers killed in the Second Lebanon War in the summer of 2006.

Identified to date are remains of Major (reserves) Nissan Shalve, 36, from Kibbutz Evron; Major Sami Ben-Naim, 39, from Rechovot; Captain (reserves) Daniel Gomez, 25, from Nechalim; and First Sgt.-Major (reserves) Ron Moshiach, 33, from Gedera. They were on a Yasur helicopter that was shot down. The fifth is Sergeant-Major Gilad Zusman, from Yishuv Eli.
