An unarmed Jordanian youth was apprehended on Sunday, 25 Tishrei 5774 after he managed to cross into Israel via an Eilat crossing. Security forces were dispatched to the northern area of Eilat after footprints were seen on the Israeli side of the border. Traffic on the Aravah Road was halted in the area as police feared a terrorist infiltration.

When the 15-year-old was apprehended, he told authorities he thought the area he was crossing was under Jordanian control. He was sent back over the border after determining he was not a terrorist.
