According to a Bloomberg report, Israel’s healthcare system ranks fourth in the world, ahead of a number of prominent Western nations including the United States and Britain.
According to the report, Israel is far ahead of Sweden, which ranks 10th, and Britain (14th). Interestingly, the healthcare cost as a percentage of GDP per capita in Israel is 7.8%, attributing to Israel’s high rating. The cost of healthcare services per person amounts to $2,426 per person annually, far less than Switzerland for example, where that figure is $9,121 or $8,608 in the USA. The figure includes emergency medical care, scheduled medical care, preventative care, and dietary counseling services.
