According to attorney Smadar Ben-Natan, quoting Immigration Authority officials, her client, convicted spy Nasim Nasr is scheduled for release on Sunday after completing his six-year prison sentence. In actuality, explains Ben-Natan, he already completed his sentence and is now being held by Israel in administrative detention.
Nasim converted from Judaism to Islam. He immigrated to Israel and in 2002 he was sentenced to prison following a conviction on charges of espionage. Ben-Natan expects him to be released on Sunday and turned over to UNIFIL officials in Lebanon. (Yechiel Spira – YWN Israel)
