Nothing to worry about. Rebbe Nachman will save him from COVID-19, the Israeli authorities, the wonderful Ukrainian Police, and the Turkish antisemites. And if by chance Rebbe Nachman cannot, then the Israel Prison authorities will give him Badatz food, and Am Yisrael will donate to the fund to support his family and pay the fines the cruel stupid Courts impose on him. The man is a hero risking his all to go to Rebbe Nachman at such a time to be mispalel for us all. There didn’t I say all that right. Forget prison and a fine, he needs to be detained and compulsorily admitted to a Mental Health Hospital when he returns to Israel.
Hopefully, this idiot will be arrested, convicted of violating the rules and jeopardizing the lives of hundreds of people and sent to prison to the maximum term. There have to be some consequences for such reckless behavior to serve as a deterrent or else others will continue to flout the rules. Kol hjakovod to his wife and work colleague for reporting his reckless behavior so the authorities could locate and capture him and limit his potential spread of the virus.
Perhaps, this will serve as a reminder to Ukraine about the dangers of allowing Israelis to travel to Uman next month for Rosh Hashanah and shut down the whole operation.
This really annoys me. And if he got arrested in turkey or Ukraine because of this, he’d expect the whole world to open their pockets for pidyon shevuyin and scream anti Semitism
Huh? Why do Jerusalem Observer and chjewess assume that this person is observant, let alone Haredi? Why assume he has any interest in visiting Reb Nachman, or in Badatz food in prison, or that he would even know what pidyon shvuyim is?
