Hagaonim Harav Chaim Kanievsky and Rosh Yeshivah Harav Gershon Edelstein published a letter on Tuesday morning calling on the public to be mapkid on health regulations and to be mechazeik in kedushas beis ha’knesses in light of the rise of coronavirus cases in Israel.
“When due to our many sins, Shamayim has increased the severity of the coronavirus pandemic, we surely must arouse ourselves and be mechazeik ourselves,” the Gedolim wrote. “Each person knows in their heart what to work on and specifically, everyone should guard the kedushas batei knesseios and batei medrashios.”
“We also have to remember that at a time like this, the binding mitzvah upon us is guarding our health,” the Gedolim wrote. “‘Chamira sakanta mei’isura’ [one must be more machmir to avoid danger to life than violating issurim] and chalilah to become lax in this.”
“It is appropriate to guard [one’s health by adhering to regulations] and be mechazeik in this for the zechus and the protection of Am Yisrael. And everyone should make an effort to say pirkei Tehillim after tefillos, to appeal and implore the Ribono Shel Olam to remove this evil from our nation.”
Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka Hagaon Harav Dov Landau also spoke about the topic at the yeshivah, Kikar H’Shabbos reported. “It’s forbidden to relate to issues of pikuach nefesh like a type of game,” Harav Landau said. “To do things in violation of the doctors’ orders is a terrible avla (violation).”
“Wearing a mask during these times is a total obligation on each and every person without any exceptions. It’s a complete sin to refrain from wearing it.”

In the holy Torah Pinchos stopped the plague with his vengeance against immorality and the assimilation of the Jews with the Midianite women.
We can learn from this by doing the following to stop the Plague:
1. Stop the gay parSvades in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv
2. Make it illegal for gays to marry
3. Intermarriage should not be acceptable in Israel.
4.interermarried couples should not be allowed Israeli citizenship.
If we could do these 4 things then I am 100% certain that HKBH will stop the plague just like in the time of Pinchos A”H

You choose to leave out of your translation the paragraphs of Rav Chaim shlita’s encouragement of and emphasis on the Torah learning in the schools and Yeshivos which will, as he writes, serve as a protection and savior for everyone.
Yeh , Chaim is right. Why did you leave out the part of the Yeshivos and tashbarim, especially as you call yourself “THE YESHIVAWORLD”?
As Chaim already pointed out above, the English translation is incomplete. I don’t fault Yeshiva World for not translating the troublesome paragraph regarding ‘Torah Magna Umatzil.” The real question is, with so many korbanos already, hasn’t Reb Chaim or his handlers learned that using the language of ‘Torah Magna Umatzil’ is unhelpful in a time of a magaifa?

Questioning YeshivaWorld or not is not something I’m going to get into, but questioning and more so doubting Reb Chaim and Gedolei Yisroel is.
Torah Magna Umatzla is true now even more than ever before. Just because many are dying doesn’t mean it isn’t. If not for the Koach HaTorah how many more tens, hundreds, or thousands would have died is not something you, I, or even Reb Chaim can know. What we do know is that what the Torah says as given and explained to us by Chazal is true.
Your language is so disturbing. To think that someone like Reb Chaim has “handlers” other than the Ribono Shel Oilam himself is absurd, to mention it is harmful, and to write it is exactly the types of things that bring about all bad that has befallen us throughout the generations.
