Yamina leader Naftali Bennett fiercely attacked the Netanyahu-Gantz unity government on Monday while submitting a motion of no-confidence in the government entitled: “The Failure to Prepare for Another Wave of The Coronavirus.”
Bennett accused the government of neglecting to take care of the financial needs of the Israeli citizens in the wake of the coronavirus crisis and ahead of a second wave.
“The most important job of a leader is to provide the basics [bread],” Bennett said. “Don’t talk to me about ideology, don’t talk to me about the court and Mandelbit, Shmandelblit. That’s nonsense, nonsense!”
“When a citizen of Israel wants to bring home bread – bread! He doesn’t want favors from you, he just wants that you don’t close his business.”

“So get up already, start working. Start being serious. Relate with respect to the most basic issue – your responsibility to enable Israelis to bring bread home.”
“A huge tsunami wave is going to hit Israeli businesses – a more difficult situation than wars,” Bennett warned. “Businesses won’t survive the second wave of the coronavirus. They won’t survive another month and a half of closure. What will they do? It’s not okay to shut down a person’s livelihood.”
“Why aren’t we raising money? It’s grushim [nothing, like pennies] – NIS 300 million. Every day that the economy is closed is worth NIS 2 billion. A business that closes won’t reopen. People will go into debt for the rest of their lives due to the government’s apathy.”
Bennett also criticized the government for not increasing the rate of testing for the coronavirus and the lack of efficiency in the testing that is being done.

There’s no second wave. There wasn’t even a first wave.

They won’t survive another month and a half of closure So stop this idiotic closure of your borders to foreigners, and stop this idiotic quarantine, and let corona free tourist bring back revival to Israeli economy at once!! Feel free to shut down the schools which caused the 2nd outbreak, but nothing else.
147, the time has arrived to put YOU in quarantine, not for 14 days, but for 40 days as the original quarantine called for.
Politicians on the outside looking in get unnerved and say dumb things.

Think about it. Israel has done almost 800,000 tests (788,800). Only 19,600 or so positives. That’s 2.5%. Maybe it’s somewhat higher b/c maybe some of those tests were repeats on one person. Still, tops, say 5%. Deaths, r”l, at 303 (yes, every Yiddish life is priceless…). Um, that’s 303 since January — it’s June already! Not such scary disease. I admit, I’d rather not have it, but all in all, not such a scary disease. But….
El Al is going under. They employ 3500 regular and 2600 part-time.
The bus companies are going under.
The hospitals are all in debt, Hashem yerachem! That’s employees losing jobs plus healthcare being diminished.
The list goes on.
And people are still scared to go to hospitals to take care of their serious conditions.
Drop the masks!!! If you personally fall in a high-risk group, stay home. Or wear your own mask. Or social distance. Or wash your hands. A lot. But let’s get out of the way of the economy and let people go back to work. More — many more — lives are at stake from economic shut-down than from this covid-19. The government has to stop thinking that it’s taking care of people. It’s not helping. Bibi, if you are afraid of your popularity or legacy, take a public vote. I would be shocked if 90% of Israelis didn’t think like Bennett on this one. (Well, 90% other than the far-Left bloc). Time to do what almost everyone wants you to do.
