Limousine Driver Admits to Transporting Money to Olmert

talansky12.jpgAvi Sherman, a limousine driver for Moshe Talansky, the state’s star witness in the case building against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, stated he transported money for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

Speaking with Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) on Thursday, Sherman stated “…I received envelopes containing cash more than once.”

To date the prime minister stated all the money received from Talansky was for electioneering or to cover election debts. After the gag order on the case was lifted on Wednesday night, it was learned that police have evidence showing this was not the case, and Mr. Olmert did indeed use funds for his own personal use.

Police at present are not ruling out the possibility of fictitious bank accounts, and are also signaling that Shula Zaken, the longtime assistant to Olmert may also be facing criminal charges. According to reports, to date, she has remained silent during police questioning, unlike Olmert’s former law partner and private attorney Uri Messer, who has given police incriminating information that links the prime minister to illegal activities.

Not because he is corrupt–Many politicians are.

But, rather, because he’s obviosly stupid and incopetent!
