A Geocartographia Poll regarding a possible Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights, 65% of Israelis oppose a total withdrawal in a peace agreement with Syria. 64% oppose a partial withdrawal, and 64% believe Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is not fit to conduct such negotiations due to the mounting criminal suspicions against him.

Olmert seems to be placing efforts towards reaching an agreement with Syria, Hamas or the Palestinian Authority in high gear, with many believing he is motivated by the hope if he can advance such a process enough prior to a police indictment, it will assist him in the legal arena.
