Ha’emek Hospital Doctors Save Jenin Resident Following Snake Bite


Doctors at Ha’emek Hospital in Afula saved the life of 30-year-old Nadia Ayad, a resident of Palestinian Authority-controlled Jenin.

Nadia was found in a field, in a comatose state, and via the IDF, was transported to Ha’emek, where doctors after analyzing her life-threatening symptoms realized she had been bitten by a poisonous viper snake. The appropriate antidote was administered and her condition stabilized.

According to the doctors, the snake that bit her is found in the Negev, Judean Desert and Gilboa regions.
