For the upcoming Lag Ba’omer, three bonfires will be lit in Meron. One for Ashkenazim, one for Sephardim. and one for the Religious-Zionist community, the government reported on Wednesday.
Rabbi Chaim Drukman will lead the bonfire of the Religious-Zionist community, the bonfire for Ashkenazim Jews will be lit by the Boyaner Rebbe and the bonfire for Sephardim will to be lit by Sephardi Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem Shlomo Amar.

I wish all three would fight for the chance to not light so there could be just one. Imagine how much honor that would bring Rashbi and The RBSO.
They should already implement this year’s limited access for next year, when ל”ג ב”עומר is on Friday; I couldn’t think of a better way of honoring Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, other than eliminating all even remotely possible desecration of the Holy Shabbos.
So how is an Ashkenazi bonfire different from a Sefardi bonfire different from a Zionist bonfire? One will serve whiskey, one will serve arak and one will serve orange juice???? Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai was before the distinctions of 20th century “ethnicities” or parties.
