Military police are investigating an incident in which a 50-year-old Upper Nazareth man crashed his vehicle into the gate of the Ramat David IDF base this morning. The driver sustained light injuries.

Two mortar shells landed in the S. Golan Heights. There were no reports of injuries or damage. IDF reports the mortars were the result of errant fire from ongoing civil war in Syria.

Dozens of Arabs harass Jews visiting Har Habayis this morning with shouts of Ala Akbar. Police acted quickly to avoid a confrontation.

Israel Radio weather forecasters predict this Yom Kippur will break all previously established heat records.

Syrian wounded continue to benefit from medical care in Israeli hospitals in the northern area of the country. Nahariya Hospital reports treating 86 Syrian nationals to date. A number of wounded were brought to Israeli hospitals in the past 24 hours.

Meuchedet HMO employees this morning began a work slowdown in protest of what they call “foot dragging by management” regarding implementation of labor agreements.
