A patient suspected of being infected with the coronavirus fled from the emergency room of a Hadera hospital and boarded a southbound train.
Medical staff at the hospital summoned the police who halted the train at the Beer Sheva station, where it stood for over an hour before police in protective clothing arrived.
The police searched the train, located the man and brought him to Soroka Medical Center for further testing.
The police also recorded the personal information of all the passengers on the train in order to contact them if the suspect tested positive for the virus.
