SECURITY/DEFENSE:
*Security forces on Wednesday night apprehended an Arab with a knife near the building in Chevron known as the Bayit HaShalom.
*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror measures throughout Yehuda and Shomron during the night arrested 19 suspects.
*Two terrorists were killed and three other wounded in an IAF targeted hit during the night.
*96 people were treated by officials in Barzilai Hospital following the Katyusha rocket attack into the Chutzot Shopping Mall on Wednesday. Most of the injured were treated for shock/hysteria.
*Terrorists in a moving vehicle on Wednesday morning fired three shots at people at a bus stop at Eli Junction in Shomron. Baruch Hashem, there were no injuries. The bullets hit the ground and ricocheted into the bus stop. Police could not do much since the intended victims could not give a description of the vehicle.
*IDF soldiers eliminated a terrorist in the Jabalya area of Gaza on Wednesday morning.
*The air force on Wednesday morning fired at and killed two terrorists who were making their way towards an IDF ground force operating in the Khan Yunis area of Gaza.
*Lt.-Colonel Gal Carmel, the commander of Sayeret Shaked, was lightly wounded by shrapnel in the Khan Yunis area of Gaza early Wednesday morning. He refused to be transported to the hospital, insisting on continuing until the force completed its mission.
POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:
*Police arrest suspects involved in violence at soccer match a number of weeks ago.
*Firefighters in Betar Illit on Tuesday night succeeded in bringing a blaze in a kindergarten under control before it spread to a shul upstairs. In another fire in the community during the night, three people were pulled out of a burning home, two treated by Hatzolah for smoke inhalation, reportedly in light condition. They were no transported to a hospital.
*Former US Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger at Jerusalem conference: It is in the interest of many countries to prevent fundamentalist Islam from spreading.
*At the Jerusalem Convention Center, some 15,000 meals will be served during the Facing Tomorrow Presidential Conference.
*Following Ashkelon mall attack, Israel filed a complaint with the United Nations Security Council.
