Unfortunately, the turnout for Monday night’s Pollard solidarity rally in downtown Jerusalem was modest at best. That did not prevent Women in Green leader Nadia Matar from addressing the crowd, delivering a passionate message of the injustice that surround the Pollard case.

Another main speaker was attorney Nitzana Darshan-Leitner, who heads the Israel Law Center, detailing the chronological events that have been Jonathan Pollard’s past 22+ years, explaining the chain of events and how the Pollard case was mishandled and ignored by one Israeli government after the other.

The event was held at Freedom for Pollard Square, also known as Paris Square, the intersection of Ramban and King George Streets.
