MK Yisrael Eichler from the UTJ party made a statement on Sunday evening that compared Yisrael Beiteinu’s leader, Avigdor Lieberman to British Labor Party leader and declared anti-Semite Jeremy Corbyn.
“Evet [Avigdor] Lieberman is the Israeli Jeremy Corbyn, and his end will be a flaming fall, G-d willing. We must denounce him as Britain denounced Corbyn,” Eichler said.
Rabbi Eichler was responding to the Saturday-night posting of a Russian-language video against the Chareidi-religious public and its way of life, which had caused great outrage in the Chareidi parties during the election campaign for the 21st Knesset.
He added, “Looking at Lieberman’s activity, it is easy to see racism towards the Chareidi and Arab public in Israel,” and said that “Lieberman’s conduct violates the fundamental principles of the Jewish and democratic state.”

Lieberman
A plague on BOTH of them. More than ever before, there is a need for these political hacks to forego the divisive rhetoric and hyperbole and find some way to come together on a narrow set of issues which have the support of the majority of Israelis across the political spectrum. This verbal polarization is putting the entire tzibur at risk, but the politicians seem incapable of just shutting up.
I full heatedly agree with MK Eichler:- Kol-haKovod, but 2 questions:-
1) Did MK Eichler receive this sentiment [or/& comment/observation] from Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita? or is it his own feeling?
2) Does MK Eichler also feel this way about comparing Lieberman to the Israeli Obama & Hillary?
