A 60-year-old man was moderately injured after a tree was uprooted by storm winds and fell on him on Abuchatzeira Street in Bnei Brak.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMTs rushed to the scene and treated the man for injuries to his head, limbs, and upper body before he was transported to the hospital for further care.
Firefighters were working at the scene to clear the tree from the street.
Volunteer EMTs at the scene said: “We found a man who was around 70-years-old lying under a tree. He was trapped as the tree had collapsed on top of him. Firefighters worked to rescue him and extricate him from underneath the tree. Once he was free he was transported via an Hatzalah ambulance to Tel Hashomer Hospital.
