Perhaps it is just a case of it being to good to be true, but for the past months, there was relative political tranquility among the coalition partners. However, today, Degel Hatorah is threatening to break away from the coalition, telling the tzibur Mayor Aliza Bloch simply cannot be trusted.
At the heart of the matter, on Tuesday night, Shas is expected to announce it is entering the coalition after a year in opposition. This is accompanied with a promise that when entering the coalition, Shas will receive control of the religious council, which is now in the hands of Mayor Bloch, but previously, controlled by Degel.
Degel is furious over hearing of the deal, announcing it is seriously considering breaking from the coalition.
Kikar Shabbos News adds that in the letter sent to Bloch, Degel concludes with saying, “The word of Mayor Bloch simply cannot be trusted”.

This is just sheker. Dr Bloch has been an exemplary mayor, and is well regarded among the yeshivisb kehilla.
To be clear, I was referring to the negative statements about Dr Bloch. The political control over different offices within the iriya, that could be, I have no insights
PETTY POLITICS.
